![]() ![]() ![]() The Pave Tack FLIR had a long range telephoto lense mounted on a 2 axis gimbal (controlled by a WSO's R/H sidewall mounted Joystick to rotate in Azimuth and Elevation from it when it was extended below the belly of the aircraft. Any two of the three available sources could be instantly selected for use. Any two of those data feeds could be watched at the same time (and Flipped back and forth from the large CRT on top and the smaller one below it inside the VID scope. Pod turret, and or Weapons TV images data linked back to the aircraft on things like Walleye TV guided Bombs. The Weapon Systems Officer utilized this VID (Virtual Image Display) Scope to observe Attack Radar, FLIR I/R Imagery from the P.T. ![]() Especially the F model with the PAVE TACK Pod and a complement of Paweway Laser Guided Bombs. ![]()
